Parking to increase at Standsted
Friday, 11th June 2010
Parking is to get easier at Stansted Airport. Travelrobe is so impressed with the numbers thrown up in its research that it reckons extra investment in its Stansted parking and hotels campaign is warranted.
Travelrobe said nearly 20 million traveled through Stansted Airport in 2009. Travelrobe’s online platforms saw the phrase ‘Stansted Airport Parking’ searched for more than 1.3 million times. As a result of this activity, the company is expanding its marketing aimed at Stansted travelers.
Travelrobe’s programme is aimed at Birmingham, Bletchley,
Brentford, Cambridge, Luton, Milton Keynes, Poplar, Reading, Thames Ditton and Watford. Travelrobe spokesman Mark Felix says these areas provide the majority of travelers for Stansted Airport.
Customers seeking parking only have a choice of Aardvark Stansted, Comstrad Valet Parking, Mercury Meet & Greet, Meteor Meet & Greet Parking, Orange Meet & Greet, Orange Park and Ride, and Stansted Easy Parking Meet & Greet.
For travelers who only need a few hours’ parking at the airport, Stansted offers short-stay parking areas that are convenient and secure. For those using long-stay parking facilities, security fences, CCTV monitoring and regular patrols by security staff keep the parking area safe and secure. A convenient coach service runs every 20 minutes and carries travelers from long-stay parking areas to the terminal in around 15 minutes.
