Survey finds the cheapest airport parking in Liverpool
Thursday, 3rd June 2010
A survey by consumer watchdog Which? has found that Liverpool John Lennon Airport offers the best parking bargain of any airport in England. In fact, of all airports in the United Kingdom, only Belfast International Airport offered cheaper parking.
Which? checked the charges for on-site parking at 15 UK airports. In its report, it also considered the increased convenience of on-site parking, compared to valet parking services and off-site parking. Some respondents in the survey pointed to the poor customer service they experienced while using those parking options.
In addition to offering the most parking bang for the pound, Liverpool’s airport said it also focuses on providing a high level of customer service. Airport operator Peel Airports Group pointed out that during the air-travel chaos triggered by the volcanic ash cloud, it had waived excess parking charges for travelers left stranded overseas.
Liverpool John Lennon is a popular regional air travel hub. It supports services from a number of budget airlines, including EasyJet and Ryanair. Flights from the airport connect to many of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe, including Alicante, Mallorca, Gran Canaria, Seville and Agadir. Other services are available for key European centres like Amsterdam, Berlin, Dublin, Milan, Paris and Stockholm.
