New Avis iPhone app is out

Avis Rent A Car has launched the latest version of its popular mobile applicatons, Avis 2.0 for iPhone and iPhone Touch.

The enhanced offering gives car rental customers an even better mobile toolset. Users get an enhanced interface and an upgraded experience that lets them make reservations, as well as change or cancel them – all from their Apple iPhone or iPhone Touch.

In addition, new GPS functionality called ‘near me’ works with the iPhone’s Global Positioning System technology to help users find the closest Avis outlet.

The new application works with both neighbourhood Avis venues and those at airports.

Furthermore, customers can easily check and maintain stored profile information, including their customer details, contact information and their rental preferences.

The original version of the application proved popular. It brought Avis many new customers and thousands of downloads of the software.

The richer featureset and functionality of the the latest issue of the app were driven by largely by iPhone users.

Avis prides itself on commitment to customer service, especially time efficiency and sees the new application as key to saving customers time.
