JetBlue pass allows unlimited air travel

Monday, 17th August 2009

JetBlue’s all-you-can-fly offer is good for travel anywhere the airline flies between 8 September and 8 October. On a daily basis, that works out to $19.96 per day, including taxes.

The airline has said that it will continue to sell passes through 21 August.

On 9 September, JetBlue will commence service to Boston from BWI. From Boston, connections are available on to Bermuda and San Juan, Puerto Rico – as well as US destinations such as Denver, Los Angeles, New Orleans, San Diego and Seattle. From Washington Dulles, service is available to numerous destinations, including Florida – and also Jamaica.

Interested travellers will need to join JetBlue’s TrueBlue loyalty programme before purchasing the pass. The membership should be worth having as well, as the number of miles from a month of travelling should add up rapidly.

Rule and restrictions apply to the use of the pass. The two most important ones are: only one flight per city per day can be booked; and “no shows” are not tolerated. If a pass holder fails to show up for a booked flight, a $100 penalty fee is levied and the pass cannot be used until the fee is paid.

For travellers that have the time available, the pass certainly offers good value. As JetBlue reserves the right to end this offer at any time, bargain hunters are urged to purchase the pass as soon as possible. The travel may be unlimited but the number of passes that JetBlue sells may not be.
