Gatwick Airport’s Meet and Greet parking is not showing signs of the credit cruch affecting the overall economy.

In the midst of a nation-wide credit crunch that seems to be having an impact on many UK residents, the Meet and Greet parking option at Gatwick Airport is doing quite well.

The Help-Me-Park.com website, in fact, reports that the demand for the luxury Meet and Greet airport parking service has shown an increase.

Help-Me-Park is a provider of what are considered to be “luxury” holiday-extras products, and has seen no slowing of business overall during the current economic downturn. The company’s turnover for the month of August this year is set to double that of last August. Its rapid growth is occurring in all markets, including products for families, the disabled, the corporate market and the white label hotel market.

The featured “luxury,” or non-essential, goods on offer are selling more quickly than the company would have anticipated – including items such as clothing and electrical goods. It is expected, however, that any further downturn in the economy will more likely lead to a drop in this type of purchase rather than causing a drop in holiday travel abroad.

From Gatwick, the most popular destinations in the sun are Alicante, Faro and Malaga.
