A new system is improving online bookings for parking at PrestwickReserving a parking spot at Glasgow’s Prestwick Airport has just become easier after the airport recently adopted a new online system for pre-booking parking. Parkspace, an award-winning system will now be employed for all airport and parking operators at the airport.
According to Chauntry Parkspace, online reservations for car park spaces have been a popular services for years. Although it has been available at Prestwick for some time now, the new system will allow Infratil, the airport authority, to provide “more effective” parking operations at Prestwick.
Since the new parking system was introduced a few months ago, Graeme Sweenie, Infratil Airports Europe Group General Manager - Commercial & Property, has seen several improvements.
“We’re selling more parking, making more money, and winning the battle against our off-airport competitors,” he said. “With Parkspace we’re able to create and sell all manner of car park products – from non-amendable discounts to fully-flexible premium offers - something we simply couldn’t do before.”
The new online system not only allows customers to make a booking, but also to manage their booking. Customers can cancel, extend or change their booking information easily online. “They don’t need to call us – they can do their own customer service,” added Sweenie.
According to Chauntry, the company is in discussions with Infratil regarding the implementation of the system across other airports.
