Southampton car parks to be upgraded this year.Southampton airport is slated for the same upgrade that Stansted received, with plans for automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) in the works.
This new technology is expected to vastly improve the Southampton airport car park, increasing efficiency and speed for customers who choose to pre-book their parking online.
API SkiData, a parking systems administrator, will install the new system at Southampton after the successful installation at Stansted. New pay-on-foot stations will also be introduced to improve the car park.
Meteor Parking, the manager of these car parks, intends these changes to greatly improve the customer experience. The project will be completed over the course of this year.
