Holiday Extras has released more details about the acquisition of Q-Park's off site airport parking.Details regarding the merger of Q-Park's off airport car parks with Holiday Extras have emerged recently. Holiday Extras, a provider of holiday add-ons, acquired the properties last week but withheld several points about the deal.
Holiday Extras acquired Q-Park's off site airport facilities at Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Glasgow and Newcastle last week. The total portfolio of the company now includes a total of 28,000 parking spaces located across 9 airports in the UK with an average of 3 million bookings per year.
The CEO of Holiday Extras, Stephen Lawrence said: "The acquisition of BCP is a truly significant moment for Holiday Extras, and is probably one of the biggest milestones in our 25 years history. We believe the deal will bring huge benefits and new opportunities for business partners and customers alike as well as lifting Holiday Extras to the next level of operation."
Q-Parks was previously managed by BCP. As Lawrence commented, "BCP is a strong brand in airport parking producing over 1million bookings annually, and we are keen to capitalize on its strengths. A project team will be assessing the best approach to this over the next few weeks."
Although the two companies are operating separately at the moment, many speculate that they may share offices in the future. Holiday Extra currently operates out of an office in Hythe, Kent.
Holiday Extras also recently announced that under the new ownership, Q-Park will continue to honor its existing contracts.
