Wednesday, 31st August 2005
Cardiff International Airport has announced that passengers travelling through the Airport will be able to use a WiFi broadband wireless network.
Ideal for business executives checking emails or for holidaymakers wanting to do some last minute internet research, the news will improve the facilities the airport offers its customers and Cardiff boasts excellent customer services, including extensive airport car parking and accommodation.
BT Openzone is to provide the internet service and will enable travellers with WiFi compatible laptops and PDAs to surf the net and check their emails while waiting for their flights.
Those wishing to use the service can purchase vouchers at the airport, ranging in price from £40 for 4,000 minutes to £6 for an hours use.
BT Openzone is already available in other airports throughout the UK including Gatwick, Heathrow, Belfast and Luton.
Cardiff International Airport is easily accessible by road, and is situated in Rhoose, 12 miles west of Cardiff City Centre and 10 miles from Junction 33 on the M4.
Ample, secure car parking means that holidaymakers can leave their cars in safety and with peace of mind.
