Bmi extends Barbados service
Wednesday, 10th August 2005
Holiday makers who set off for the sunny climes of Barbados have an extra reason to smile as bmi has announced it will be extending its service to the island from Manchester.
The airline is to increase its direct Manchester to Barbados service to three flights a week from October 24th 2005.
Manchester Airport is easily accessible by road and offers ample airport parking with 14,000 parking spaces available for airport customers. Parking can be booked online at the same time as booking the flight, so airport arrangements have never been easier.
The additional service will operate on Mondays, complementing the existing services operating on Wednesdays and Fridays, and offering more flexibility and choice to travellers who wish to combine a wider range of night stops as well as travel to other Caribbean destinations.
'Barbados is proving to be an extremely popular year-round destination and we expect that the addition of a Monday departure will be an attractive option for many travellers to the island.
'Our four flights a week to the Caribbean are also providing excellent opportunities for inter-island connections to other popular Caribbean holiday resorts,' said bmi chief executive, Nigel Turner.
Manchester Airport is situated 10 miles south of Manchester city centre, and customers driving to the airport have a selection of car parks where they can leave their vehicles.
