Punctuality improvements at airports

Monday, 1st August 2005

Flight punctuality among charter airlines is improving at certain airports according to a new study by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Of the airports included in the study, Luton, Glasgow, and Edinburgh reported improved results in delays. This means that if customers have booked their car parking online, there should be no more waiting around at the airport.

Pre-booking parking space at airports usually saves travellers time and money. It normally guarantees customers a place to park at the airport and saves the hassle of paying for a space once there.

Not all airports performed as impressively as these airports though, and statistics reveal that during the first quarter of 2005, 66 per cent of flights departed on time, compared to 69 per cent a year ago. The CAA defined on time as "early to 15 minutes late."

However, customers using Luton, Glasgow or Edinburgh can look forward to more hassle free journeys, especially if their parking is ordered beforehand.
