How to get to Manchester Airport

Directions: Getting to Manchester airport by car is straightforward. Approach Manchester airport via the M56 motorway. Leave the motorway at Junction 5 on the dedicated link road and follow the signs to your terminal.

Arrival and Departure Procedures

Arrival: When you are 15 minutes away from the airport, please call Purple Parking who will ensure one of their drivers will meet you at the airport.

Terminal 1: On arrival at the airport, please follow the signs for Terminal 1 departures. Your chauffeur will meet you in the drop-off lane opposite Door 3 (the last door).

Terminal 2: On arrival at the airport, please follow the signs for Terminal 2 departures. Your chauffeur will meet you in the drop-off lane at the far end of the terminal building.

Terminal 3: On arrival at the airport, please follow the signs for Terminal 3 departures. Your chauffeur will meet you in the drop-off lane outside the Avis and Hertz rental offices opposite the terminal building.

Departure Procedure: On arrival you will have been given a unique receipt when you checked in your vehicle with a Purple Parking member of staff. This will include full details of your departure procedures and collection of your vehicle. Once you have cleared baggage reclaim in departures please call the car park to confirm your arrival.

Security of your Vehicle

Security: This car park is manned 24 hours a day with CCTV, is well lit and has a security barrier on entry and exit. The car park has razor wire fencing around the perimeter surrounding the entire compound and there are also frequent patrols by security vehicles.

This car park has been awarded the Park Mark® for Safer Parking. The Park Mark® means that you are parking in a car park that has been vetted by the police to make sure that the site has had measures put in place to create a safe environment. Park Mark® awarded parking areas are run by responsible operators who are concerned with your safety and the safety of your vehicle.

Vehicle Restrictions: Purple Parking are unable to accept large vehicles such as Transit Vans or any vehicles with trailers.
