How to get to Manchester Airport

Directions: Getting to Manchester airport by car is straightforward. Approach Manchester airport via the M56 motorway. Leave the motorway at Junction 5 on the dedicated link road and follow the signs to your terminal.

Arrival and Departure Procedures

Arrival at Terminal 1: Follow the signs for Terminal 1 departures. When you reach the entrance to the Terminal 1 multi story car park (signposted Valet parking), please press the help button and quote your booking reference number and name to a member of staff. You do not need to take a ticket. Once you have parked, simply unload your luggage and enter the Valet reception to leave your key, (please make sure it is not on a keyring or with any other keys). You will be given a receipt which you should keep safe for your return. Once you've unloaded your car and completed a vehicle check with the receptionist, follow the covered walkway into Terminal 1.

Departure Procedure: Return to the Valet reception at Terminal 1 and present your receipt. Your key will be returned and you will be given details of the row number that your car is parked. Then cross the road behind the reception and your car will be in the arrivals car park waiting for you.

Security of your Vehicle

Security: Your car will be parked in a Park Mark® awarded car park. It is manned 24 hours a day with CCTV, is well lit and has a security barrier on entry and exit. The car park has full security fencing of the perimeter and there are also frequent patrols by security vehicles.

This car park has been awarded the Park Mark® for Safer Parking. The Park Mark® means that you are parking in a car park that has been vetted by the police to make sure that the site has had measures put in place to create a safe environment. Park Mark® awarded parking areas are run by responsible operators who are concerned with your safety and the safety of your vehicle.
