Transfers
Transfer Time: Transfers operate every 20 minutes, 24 hours a day taking 9 minutes to the airport terminal.
Arrival and Departure Procedures
Arrival Procedure: Once you arrive at the car park leave your car in one of the numbered arrivals lanes. Make a note of the lane number. Unload your luggage and make your way into the check in building in front of you. Go to one of their new check in machines and follow the instructions. Basically you will need to scan the barcode on your booking confirmation.
Airparks parks your car for you, so you leave your car key with them. The machine will give you a key tag, which you'll need to attach to your car key, and a ticket so you can collect your key when you come back. Once you've put the key tag on your key, you just need to drop it in the blue box to the right of the check-in building, in the slot for your lane number. Then just catch the transfer bus to the terminal.
Departure Procedure: When you leave the arrivals hall turn left and go past the departures hall and taxi ranks. Cross the road and wait at bus stop 12. Once back at the car park go to the check out building and scan your key collection ticket on one of the machines. The machine will return your keys and display a map showing you where your car is parked. Then just collect your car and exit the car park.
Please note - At the barrier, you'll need to scan the barcode on your key collection ticket again to leave the car park.
Security at Luton Airparks
Security: This car park is manned 24 hours a day with CCTV, floodlighting and security fencing and frequent patrols by security vehicles.
This car park has been awarded the Park Mark® for Safer Parking. The Park Mark® means that you are parking in a car park that has been vetted by the police to make sure that the site has had measures put in place to create a safe environment. Park Mark® awarded parking areas are run by responsible operators who are concerned with your safety and the safety of your vehicle.
Optional Upgrade: Airparks offers a Return Greet package where your car is brought to the terminal for you, so you can head straight home from the airport. You can choose this option either when you make your booking, or at the car park when you're checking in.
Other Information: We would advise customers to allow 40 minutes to park at Airparks and transfer to the airport and to allow more time during the rush hour. However, there are roadworks on the M1 from Junction 10 to Junction 13 for the rest of this year, so we advise you to leave extra time for your journey.
Bikes, surfboards, canoes and other large objects that won't fit into the luggage racks can't be carried on Airparks buses. If you are bringing large items with you, we suggest you drop them off at the airport before you park your car or choose a Meet and Greet service.
