Transfer Time: Transfers operate 24 hours, 7 - 10 minutes taking 4 - 5 minutes to the terminal. However during off-peak periods (22:00-05:30) please use intercom points at bus stops to request pick-up.

Arrival and Departure Procedures

Arrival Procedure: This car park operates a Debit/Credit card recognition system. So before leaving you must make sure you take the card used for the airport parking payment plus your booking confirmation.

Drive to long stay car park 1. At the barrier place the same payment card used to make the booking into the slot on the barrier control panel. Your booking will be recognised and the barrier will raise automatically. If you do not have the same card used to make the booking OR your card is not recognised, please do not insert a different card, as you will be charged again for the parking. Call the attendant by pressing the help buzzer at the barrier and show them your booking reference number, you will then need to take a ticket from the barrier. Then proceed into the car park to park your vehicle and catch the free transfer bus to the terminal.

Departure Procedure: On your return proceed to the courtesy coach pick up to catch a bus back to the car park. Once back at the car park drive to the exit. The departure procedures are the same as the arrival procedures, so once at the barrier insert the same payment card used to make the booking into the slot on the barrier control panel. You booking will be recognised and the barrier will raise automatically.

Please note if you do not have the same card used to make the booking and you took a ticket at the barrier you must go to the car park reception with the ticket and your booking confirmation where you will then be given an exit ticket.

Security: This car park is manned 24 hours a day with CCTV, is well lit and has a security barrier on entry and exit. The car park has full security fencing surrounding the entire compound and there are also frequent patrols by security vehicles.

At certain times of the year, only one of the Long Stay car parks Long Stay Parking CP1 or Yorkshire Flyer CP2 may be available and this will be clearly indicated on the entrance to the Long Stay car parks. Please note that your reservation will not be valid in either Short Stay or Business car parks.
