How to find Shuttle Economy 2 Car Park

Directions: From the North M1 - Exit the motorway at Junction 24 and follow the signs to East Midlands airport, taking the A453 for approximately half a mile.

From the South M1 - Exit the motorway at Junction 23a and follow the signs to the airport.

From the West A50 - Follow A50 to Junction 24 then follow the signs to East Midlands airport.

Then while still on the A453 drive past the main airport entrance, signposted Cargo West. After 1.5 miles, at the roundabout take the 2nd exit right onto the airport site. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit left to Shuttle Economy 2 car park.

Alternatively, if you do drive into the airport via the main entrance, turn left at the roundabout and then follow signs to Shuttle Economy 2.

Transfer Time: Transfer buses operate 24 hours a day, every 15 minutes taking just 8 minutes to the airport.

Arrival and Departure Procedures

Arrival Procedure: This car park operates an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system, so please make sure that you enter the correct vehicle registration when making your car park booking. At the entry barrier your registration number will be recognised and a ticket will be printed showing your booking reference, please keep this as it is will be required on your return to be inserted on exit barrier. Then park your car, remembering the zone. Keep your keys and then catch the free transfer bus to the airport.

Departure Procedure: Once through customs head for the Courtesy Transfer Bus stops. Catch the bus back to the car park. Drive to the exit, insert your entry ticket into the machine at the barrier. Your number plate will be read and the barrier will lift automatically. If the barrier does not raise please press the intercom buttom and quote your booking reference number.

Security: This car park is manned 24 hours a day with CCTV, floodlighting and perimeter fencing and frequent patrols by security vehicles.

Disabled Facilities: Blue badge holders may pre-book this long stay product and park in the Short stay car park instead where dedicated spaces are available. Please ensure that your Blue badge is clearly displayed and upon your return state that you have parked in the Short stay car park when you present your entry ticket and booking confirmation to the Car park enquiries office (situated in the Short stay car park).
