Terminals Check-In and Arrival at Stansted Airport

The one terminal handles both international flights as well as flights to destinations throughout the UK. Arrivals and Check-in are situated on the ground floor of the terminal. Departures is located on the first floor. The terminal is served by several parking options, with short-term parking within walking distance of the terminal and the other parking facilities linked to the terminal by free bus services.

Shopping, eating and business facilities at Stansted

ATMs and money-changing facilities can be found scattered about the terminal. There are also baby-changing rooms and children's facilities available. Postal services and a chapel are on-site as well. Both before and after security, travellers will find a multitude of great stores at Stansted Airport. Boots, The Body Shop, World News and WH Smith are just a few of the outlets available. Head to Departures for duty-free shopping.

Cafés, restaurants and bars are all readily available. Departures has some buffet-style restaurants. Two bars can be found in Departures as well as an O'Neill's pub on the main concourse.

Internet access is available at various spots in the terminal. London Stansted offers a child-free executive lounge for travellers. Nearby Enterprise House is where you should go if you need a conference room and/or business facilities. The Hilton and Radisson hotels are also nearby and offer additional business facilities.

Parking and drop off at Stansted

Stansted Airport Parking

Travellers can choose from valet, short-term, mid-term or long-term parking at Stansted. Valet parking is only available if pre-booked and the service includes a chauffeur who will meet you at the terminal and then park your car in a safe compound. Short-term parking is free for the first 15 minutes and then charged by the hour. Mid-term and long-term parking can be pre-booked and the long and mid-term car parking facilities are served by a free airport bus service. Disabled parking can be had in the short-term and long-term car parks. Furthermore, there is a drop-off and pick-up point located directly outside the terminal entrance.

Getting into the city of London

Getting to London and surrounding cities from the airport is easiest by taxi or limousine. However, these options are also expensive. Other public transport options include rail and bus services. The Stansted Express train runs to Liverpool Street Station several times a day, every day. Buses can be taken from the Stansted Airport Coach Station to various parts of London and other nearby cities. The Terravision shuttle runs to London Victoria Coach Station every hour. Jetlink serves local towns in the area. Arriva buses runs several services to North London, as does the Airbus A6.
