Luton Airport Information (LTN) Services at Luton Airport
Located just north of London, Luton Airport is one of the busiest air hubs in the UK, handling more than six million passengers a year. Home of the budget airline EasyJet, Luton's single terminal operates flights to over 60 destinations across Europe and the Mediterranean. Although it doesn't service long-haul flights, the airport still provides all the amenities a passenger needs.
Terminals Check-In and Arrival at Luton Airport
Luton Airport's single terminal handles all arrivals and departures, with mostly domestic airlines such as British Airways, First Choice and EasyJet operating from the terminal. A few foreign air carriers also service routes to a handful of European destinations. ATM machines and four currency exchange counters are dotted throughout the main concourse as well as Travelex and postal facilities, which are available at Arrivals and Departures. Baby-changing stations, a chapel and lost property services are on hand for passengers. The airport has four major car rental companies on-site including Alamo, Avis and Hertz. Luton Airport has excellent facilities for disabled travellers such as revolving doors, lowered information booths, special assistance telephones and induction loops at check-in.
Shopping, eating and business facilities at Luton
Luton Airport's original terminal building has been completely refurbished to provide a wonderful dining and shopping experience. Numerous restaurants and bars can be found throughout the airport. Popular eateries such as Starbucks, Burger King, The Real Food Company and The Juice and Bagel Store are located in the Departures Lounge.
Well known UK high street names such as WH Smith, World News, Dixons and Sunglass Hut provide shopping opportunities. The Departures Lounge also has duty-free outlets.
Business-class travellers can enjoy the Aviance Executive Lounge, which offers free internet and fax access, newspapers and television. Passengers can also tap into the airport's wireless internet service at various points in the terminal.
Parking and drop off at Luton
Luton Airport offers several parking options. Situated next to the terminal, the Short-Term Car park is suitable for stays of up to 6 hours. The first 10 minutes of parking are free, making it ideal for business users, pick-ups and drop-offs. Better suited for stays of up to five days, mid-term parking is serviced by free shuttle buses. For stays of more than five days, long-term parking is the best option. The Long-Term Car Park is a self-park facility, reached by following the pink signs. A free shuttle service takes passengers from the car park to the terminal and discounts are available with internet pre-bookings. Special designated parking is provided for disabled drivers at all three car parks. Drivers can request assistance by using intercoms located near the disabled spaces.
