Terminals Check-In and Arrival at Liverpool John Lennon Airport

The airport hosts flights from airlines such as Aer Lingus, Ryanair, easyJet and Euromanx as well as VLM and Wizz Air. Check-in is located in the centre of the main concourse, while Departures is situated on the first floor.

While the airport does not have banks or post offices, its five Travelex counters offer currency exchange and other financial services. Wi-fi connection is available throughout the terminal as well as prayer and passenger rooms for administering medicine. There is also a travel agent. The airport meets EU standards for disabled access, including reserved parking spaces, low-level telephones, toilet facilities, an induction loop system and an ambulift.

Shopping, eating and business facilities at Liverpool

The terminal's third floor offers an array of dining options including Caffé Ritazza, Burger King and the Aintree Food Village. Coffee and drinks are available from Starbucks, while alcoholic beverages are on offer at Wetherspoon's Argosy Bar. Alternatively, the Daytripper Bar and the Food Fayre Restaurant are located just past passport control.

Shopping options include many well-known stores such as Boots, Dorothy Perkins, Spar and WH Smith. Additionally, Dabs.com sells electronics goods, while Impressions of Liverpool offers a range of Liverpool souvenirs. A duty-free shop is located in Departures, just past passport control.

For business travellers, the Cavern Suite's conference facilities can accommodate up to 80 people. Internet connections for laptops and office-style seating are available at the Internet Zone at the Halewood International Executive Lounge.

Parking and drop off at Liverpool

Short-term hourly parking is available opposite the Departures concourse. Long-term parking is available at two car parks that are situated adjacent to the terminal building. Security is high, with 24-hour security patrols and surveillance video. Reserved disabled parking is located next to the terminal building and specially marked disabled persons' parking spaces are strategically located for convenient access to the terminal.

Getting into the city of Liverpool

Arriva bus company runs the main bus service between the airport and the centre of Liverpool, while Supertravel and Joblink provide connections from farther afield. Buses run from Lime Street Station in the city centre to the airport twice hourly, with a travel time of 45 minutes. The airport does not have a train station, but shuttle services connect to nearby Hunts Cross and Garston train stations. Registered taxis are available for hire from outside of the Arrivals Hall to destinations within Liverpool and beyond, as are some hotel shuttles.
