The car park is located a short walk away from the terminal and is secure 24 hours a day. Car parking payment machines can be found in the Arrivals Hall and at the information counter. Payment can be made upon your return. When arriving at the car park, drive up to the barrier and take a ticket. Parking spaces for disabled travellers are available. You can pre-book your space in the car park online and the first 15 minutes of parking are free of charge.

Getting into the city of Durham

Darlington Station is situated six miles from the airport and it offers frequent intercity rail links to the north of Scotland and to main localities south of London. Bus number 74 makes the trip between the city of Darlington and the airport every 30 minutes. By road, the airport is within convenient reach of both the A1 and the A19 north-south trunk roads, sitting on the A67 access road, with Newcastle and York both less than one hour drive away. The airport is also located near to the east-west A66, providing efficient connections with the Lake District and Cumbria. Alternatively, travellers may use taxis, available from outside the terminal building.
