After security, you can find duty-free outlets that carry items such as alcohol, tobacco, perfumes, sunglasses and electronics.

Visitors to the airport will also find cafés, restaurants and bars on both sides of security. The Food Hub is a popular choice, while there is also a pub, coffee shop and some restaurants with children's menus.

Business travellers should head to the British Airways Executive Lounge or the Aberdeen Airport Thistle Hotel for business facilities. The Thistle Hotel is located inside the airport grounds and offers conference rooms.

Aberdeen Airport offers plentiful parking options. Short-stay, long-stay, Fast Track, disabled and long-stay for off-shore oil workers are all provided and have 24-hour CCTV surveillance for your safety. Short-term parking is situated nearest to the terminal. Fast Track airport parking is also close by and has wide parking bays that are usually used by business travellers. Long-term parking is located farther out, but is linked to the terminal by a courtesy bus. It's best to book long-term parking in advance. Call the airport or book online to reserve parking. Patrons of the airport's parking facilities must take a ticket at the barrier on entry and then pay at the machine located outside Arrivals by cash or credit card before exiting the car park. If disabled travellers hold an orange disabled driver sticker, they can use the special parking bays at the short-term and long-term car parks at reduced rates. Ramp access from the Short-Term Car Park to the terminal building is provided.

Getting into the city of Aberdeen

The best public transport option for getting to Aberdeen and surrounding towns is to take a taxi. Taxis are located outside the main airport entrance and are operated by Rainbow Airport Taxis and AA Taxis. Trains and buses are also offered. Dyce Station offers regular trains into Aberdeen and Inverness and is just a quick taxi ride from the airport. From here you can reach all parts of Scotland and other parts of the UK by rail. There are four bus services offered from the airport to the city centre and vice versa. From Monday to Friday, First Bus number 27 is available, while Stagecoach service numbers 10, 307 and 737 operate throughout the week and on weekends. Bus number 307 only runs one service to and from the airport on Sunday.
